Read a stored list

For a list you track, Instoryview selects your most recent usable, published snapshot and returns the members observed in that scan. A failed later scan does not turn the last good list into an empty result.

If you paused or removed tracking, the API can return your last readable retained snapshot from your authorized period. It does not include another user's later scans. Retained stopped snapshots expire after 30 days; previously cleaned data cannot be recovered. Source removal, opt-out and access revocation take priority.

If you tracked only following, the presence of someone else's follower snapshot does not grant access to it. Missing list rights return list_not_authorized. For a never-tracked account, only reusable public query data can be read; a miss returns data_unavailable.

Response and paging

data contains accountId, username, availableCount, returnedCount and items. Each member includes string id, username, fullName, avatarUrl, isPrivate and isVerified. Some fields are null when unknown.

Use limit (1–100, default 50). Pass nextCursor as cursor on the same endpoint to continue the same snapshot. Each page is checked against your current access. A cleared snapshot or changed permission ends that pagination rather than joining it to newer data.

meta.asOf is the list observation time. Member profile details can be updated separately. coverage=partial means the list does not establish complete Instagram coverage. nextCursor=null means the available pages have ended; it does not establish that every follower was returned.

Query one fresh public page

Send this body to POST /open-api/v1/queries with an authorized Key and Idempotency-Key. Use type=following for a following list. A single online page returns at most 25 people. Each further page needs the returned online cursor, a new key and another explicit budget.

Online queries retain the product's source paging ceiling. page_limit_reached explains when it is reached. They do not guarantee a full list or chronological follow order and do not update your tracking comparison baseline.

Instoryview uses third-party public Instagram data. It is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. Public availability can change; use returned timestamps and warnings when presenting data.
