What are Instagram recent followers?
Instagram recent followers are the people who started following an account. Recent follows run the other way, and that list is on the Recent Following page — both are tabs on the same card.
Instagram half answers this: your own new followers age out of notifications, and no Instagram followers tab has a date sort. Here, recent means the top of the list or the followers we detect.

How to see who recently
followed someone on Instagram

Enter the Instagram account
Type a public Instagram username or paste the profile link. Recent followers is already open; the other tab has who they follow.

Read the top of the list
Rows are the top of the Instagram follower list in its own order: roughly newest first, never exact. Detected followers replace them once there are any.

Comparing an Instagram follower list of millions is not realistic. Follower tracking stops at a size limit, and longer lists cost more credits per scan.
